Photography as a discipline in Tabasco has a broad tradition from a technical and social standpoint, but not when viewed from a conceptual and discursive aproximation. This essay proposes a brief historical and contextual overview, establishing a classification of four generations of visual artists and photographers who have contributed to lay the ground for a movement of contemporary photography in Tabasco.
